HGV Class 1 – Trunking – Northampton

Location: Northampton, NN49BD

Salary Range: £17.50-£18.00

Day shift starting at 04:00 until 15:00 and night shift from 16:00-03:00. Monday-Friday.

Join our dynamic transport team as a trunking driver, working Monday to Friday on 11-hour shifts. This is a guaranteed 5-day-a-week position with no weekends, focused on trunking only – no handballing required. After 12 weeks, there is the potential for a permanent contract. The Role:

• Operate HGV Class 1 / C+E container vehicles, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Transport goods over long & short distances
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and adhere to scheduled routes.
• Communicate effectively with the Transport Teams regarding delivery status and any potential delays.

The Requirements:

• HGV C+E Class 1 license – 6 Months Driving Experience
• Full HGV C+E licence with no more than six points for minor endorsements
• Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards
• Customer focused attitude
